Me: A trophy

By the way, Andy Murray did great, but Roger won. WOO HOO!! (His 5th consecutive U.S. OPEN win)

Dallas / Tennis Trip in August

James took the boys to an airplane museum while I was playing tennis.

We won our league, so our team got to go to sectionals in Dallas. It was so fun, but it was so HOT in August.

College Reunion

These are my cute friends from college. We hadn't seen each other since college. EEK! They all came to Amarillo for a fun catch up weekend. We were all in the same Bible Study for about 3 years. Donna was our leader. We had a great time. Donna and Cari and I lived together, too. Until there was TROUBLE with a giant Hershey bar. It's such a traumatizing story, I can't even tell it. We also went on Summer Project with Campus Crusade for Christ together in San Diego one summer.

Camping

We went on the annual camping trip with the Rogers and Grandma & Grandpa. Everybody had a FABULOUS time. (okay some more than others) AND... YES those are REAL WORMS! EEK! DISGUSTING! obviously not everyone feels the same about those little creatures as I do. hmm.....

Jill and her family came through Amarillo one night in July. We went to the pool that afternoon and all the kids had a BIG time. That night they all slept in the living room on the floor. I think they went to sleep about midnight. The next morning the Adams left for Young Life family camp in Colorado. I love Young Life and worked at YL Frontier Ranch for two summers after high school. Jill went to Frontier and she didn't even bring me a t-shirt. hmph! They had a great time and we enjoyed the visit.

4th of July FUN!

We had a great 4th of July. Grandma & Grandpa and the Rogers came over for the annual Olsen neighborhood parade. The kids decorated their transportation of choice and then we joined the neighborhood parade. We ate lunch at Rudy's and had a relaxing afternoon. Jake, Judd, James & I met some friends at the Colonies 4th of July celebration that night. It was so much fun. We had hamburgers and watched the fireworks. The kids ran around and jumped in the bouncers. It was a great night. (Thanks Stacy & Brian.)

VACATION - SO FUN!!!

Fun at the Fairmont Princess Resort
in Scottsdale, Arizona

What did you love most about your vacation?

Judd: jumping in the pool, going down the water slide, water gun fights with Will, diving with Wilson, and swimming to Daddy

Jake: the outside mall with rock climbing, the water slide, the dads being the monster in the pool, watching a movie in the pool at night in a giant floatie, and fishing

Julie: laying by the pool, the cabana boy bringing food and drinks, swimming laps with Brooke and Su, the water slide, shopping, no cooking or laundry, and Sprinkles cupcakes

James: playing in the pool with Jake and Judd, water slide, eating at "In & Out Burger," hanging out with friends

The resort had a fishing pond. The dads and kids fished one morning while the moms went shopping. Everybody caught a fish!
